Last Saturday I had the privilege of shooting a cake smash and splash with the stunning Sophie who was just brimming with character and charm which really shows through in her beautiful gallery of photographs!
Sophie’s mum wanted a classic style of cake smash based on the colour scheme pink and gold. We worked together to her specifications and I found some beautiful props, backdrops and a tutu. Sophie’s mum provided an outfit for her 1 year old little girl and she baked an amazing cake!!
Sophie absolutely loved her cake smash and splash atΒ our home studio in Sandbach with Little Primrose Photography! She smiled the whole way through and went very very quiet when eating the cake… Although she was keen to share with Mum and Dad… and Me!
We began with some individual shots of Sophie in her birthday outfit and we also brought in Mum and Dad for a beautiful family portrait. We had a couple of outfit changes before introducing the cake. The star of the show had a couple of breaks for milk and water and refreshed herself before continuing with the shoot.
The cake smash was a total success, Sophie really enjoyed beating it with the wooden spoon and eating it before smearing it all over the place! However, it’s got to be said, her favourite part of the day was the lovely warm bath at the end! She splashed about for ages and even pulled herself up on the side which Mum and Dad said was the first time she’d ever done it! Captured on camera!
