Should you have newborn photographs taken of your 3rd child? Absolutely!

Whether you’re expecting your first child or third child, a newborn shoot is a priceless opportunity to catch that tiny, sleepy stage that your baby goes through for only about 4 weeks! Their little windy smiles and curled up legs will change so quickly it would be so sad to miss it – before you know it they are sitting up munching on a carrot stick!

When you’ve already got older children and you’re worried that you didn’t have photos taken of the others, why not get them involved in the newborn shoot?

When Nicola approached me about a newborn shoot with her two other children I leaped at the chance! I think that sibling photographs are so essential. If not the most important photos of the whole shoot! Occasionally, they are also the most difficult to achieve! As the siblings are usually toddlers or old enough to understand that this foreign body has come into their lives and is taking up so much of Mummy’s time and energy, not to mention love! This time it was different, as Gracie is 11 and Harry 8, they were implacably behaved and their love for their new baby brother was so clear!

Alfie was brilliant and we got lots of little smiles throughout the shoot. He slept so well and loved being all snuggled on my beanbag curled up.
